I haven't been able to buy the book yet. :( But I did see it for sale at a local Indigo. Strange, but the cover was the American one. Usually Canada gets the UK cover. Is this a new trend, or just a one-time thing? (To be honest, I prefer the UK cover...)

Hard to say, but yours is not the first report I've heard of this. It could be due to the fact that now Penguin Putnam prints the books in both the UK and US (prior to Triss, Random House handled the UK and Penguin only had the US via their imprint, Philomel). Maybe they found it more cost effective to send books to Canada from the US instead of the UK.

It'd be nice if all the bookstores had both covers. They do it with Harry Potter- why should this be any different?
